Asura Project Scope: How Design Set Licensing Fits Together
Selling Oxygen Builder design sets gets confusing once several WordPress sites are involved: where the design sets live, where the shop runs, and how a paying customer gets access. Before the hands-on Asura tutorials, this short intro gives you a map of the whole system, so each later step fits into a picture you already have.
The installations you need
Most setup mistakes come from not knowing which site does what. The Asura tutorials use four WordPress installations, each with one job:
- Design Set 1: an install that holds the first design set.
- Design Set 2: a second install for another design set.
- Main Installation / E-shop: the store. The series covers both WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads.
- Customer: a separate install that shows what the customer sees after they buy a design set and connect it.
How the pieces connect
If you know the order of the connections, you won't end up with licenses that point to nothing. The flow in the video goes like this:
- Connect Design Set 1 and Design Set 2 to the main shop first.
- Create licenses in the shop.
- Send the licenses to the customer.
- The customer connects with their license, and their site is linked directly to the design sets.
The shop sits in the middle. It handles sales and licenses, while the design sets stay on their own installs. Once the customer is connected, they get the design sets straight from those installs.
