Hoster 1.3.5: secure download links
Hoster 1.3.5 is a reliability release. Most of it is about downloads, which now work on servers that block direct .zip URLs.
Secure download links everywhere
Download buttons now go through Hoster's secure download link instead of the file's direct URL. That hides the uploads path and version number, and it fixes the buttons on hosts that block .zip files.
Files in the uploads folder are now read from disk and sent with the right file name and size. On servers that blocked direct .zip URLs, this used to produce an empty file. Invalid links now return a clean 403, and missing files a 404, instead of a server error.
License first
Without an active licence, Hoster now shows only its licence page. The downloads appear as soon as the licence is activated.
Other fixes
- The download edit screen no longer hangs on a spinner while loading GitHub repositories.
- The generated update checker now shows a working View details link in the plugin admin.
- Fixed a
register_metanotice for the licence sites field.
