Custom Oxygen Structure Panel Width: Swiss Knife 1.1.1

In Oxygen Builder, a narrow structure panel cuts off deep, nested layouts. Leaving the editor to check the frontend or the dashboard also takes you off your canvas. Swiss Knife 1.1.1 lets you set your own Oxygen structure panel width, opens WP Admin and Preview in a new tab, and can hide the Swiss Knife menu from anyone who isn't an admin.

Everything in this release is set on one screen: SwissKnife → Features, under Activate Features.

Custom Width

When the structure panel is too narrow, long element names and deeply nested elements are hard to read. You can now set the panel width yourself.

  1. Go to SwissKnife → Features.
  2. Tick Structure Width and enter a value in pixels. The video uses 500 px.
  3. You can also tick Open Structure on load so the structure panel is already open when the builder loads.
  4. Click Save Changes and open a page in Oxygen.

Open WP Admin & Preview in new tab

By default, going back to WordPress or opening the preview from Oxygen can take you out of the editor. Tick Open Wp Admin and Preview in new tab to open both in a separate tab. Your builder session stays open, so you can check the live page or change a setting in the dashboard and then return to where you were.

Updates & Bug Fixes

The feature list also includes Hide Swiss Knife menu for all users except admin. Turn it on when clients or editors log in to the site, so only administrators see the Swiss Knife tools. This release also includes smaller updates and bug fixes.
